I am a current senior marketing major attending Biola University located in LA county. I have a passion for design and creating a business from the ground up. I am motivated by challenging tasks that make me into a better version of myself. I use my skills in photography and design in projects that display the best qualities of a particular business.

NONPROFIT MARKETING ASSESSMENT  
OC UNITED

I had the opportunity to partner with the nonprofit organization OC United to create a 1 year marketing plan. Research was gathered in several phases over the course of 3 months. 9 websites and 10 articles were reviewed to gain industry knowledge. There was extensive research gathered with the intent of understanding the condition of the non-profit environment OC United exists in, along with reviewing competitors of the industry. Primary research was conducted through interviews with 24 stakeholders of the organization. The purpose of the research was to use data as well as personal observations to identify areas that need improvement and create recommendations. The following is a reflection video detailing my experiences during the project.

MARKETING RESEARCH PROJECT  
Rockies Frozen Yogurt

My research partner Caleb and I created a 90 Page  research analysis paper for Rockies Frozen Yogurt located in Whittier, CA. Over the course of three months we conducted research through articles, websites, interviewing customers, and creating a custom survey for Rockies that 123 customers filled out. With this data we were able to break it down and provide our client Renae with a detailed analysis regarding key findings and recommendations to better serve his customers. The following is a reflection video detailing my experiences during the project.

TARGET MARKET ANALYSIS 
Surf Apparel Industry

I created a 70 Page Target Market research analysis of the surf apparel industry through conducting over 30 customer interviews, 15 professional interviews, and 45 websites and articles over the course of three months. The following is a reflection video after

SWOT PROJECT 

I collaborated with four other students to create an in-depth SWOT Analysis of the vertical farming company Plenty. We examined the strengths, weaknesses, and threats of Plenty which we used to provide constructive ways the company could capitalize within the vertical farming niche. We presented our findings to our business management class through creating a slide presentation. Through the process of creating this project, I developed my critical thinking, presentation skills, and ability to assemble data into cons readable formats. However, this project was not without flaw and if I could do this project again, I would examine the company and its competitors to fully know what market I was entering. Plenty is known for their uniqueness as one of there only vertical farming companies within the United States. However, their competitor AeroFarms has a larger percentage of the market than I previously was aware of.

WORK EXPERIENCE

State Parks Beach Lifeguard

2019 - Present

California State Parks 

San Diego, CA.

  • Patrol and manage beaches with duties including detecting and rescuing persons and vessels in distress.

  • Trained for emergencies including: performing first-aid and resuscitation procedures; preparing reports; removing hazards; assisting the public and advising visitors of park rules and regulations;

  • Operating emergency vehicles, inspecting and performing maintenance on emergency rescue equipment and vehicles. Trained in operating a RWC (jet ski) in rescue scenarios.  

Marketing Research Intern

July 2022 - September 2022

Degree 33 Surfboards

Carlsbad, CA

  • Created a market research study to test the market for an experimental new type of surfboard. Tasks included:

  • interviewing surf school instructors, using spreadsheets to organize responses, creating an online model of competitor companies.

  • meeting with supervisors to discuss future duties, testing and analyzing the product.

Newport Beach, CA

  • Concepted and fabricated in store Point of Purchase (POP) signage at Florence Marine X.

  • Learned communication and seller to buyer skills through selling bulk quantities of product to lifeguard agencies. Learned problem solving and critical thinking skills through constructing product fixtures, packaging, and shipping product.

In 2021, I founded the Biola Surf Club as an outreach to bring together a community of people who love the ocean. As a student attending Biola University, I felt it was important to create something that would better the school in some way.
